The new 4D Theater will take over an existing building and stuff in a ton of special effects hardware that will include: water spray, air blast, leg ticklers, aroma, low smoke and bubble effects. I think this will go into the building where cats is now. Its only 9 years year the building next year and could easily fit 15o odd seats in there.

Sounds interesting - I hope they do a good job as if they don't they'll end up with something mediocre that nobody will want to ride more than once.

Im with an investment like this then Drayton Manor will have people in the screen watching for people misbehaving/using phones etc and will most probably eject them from the park if they misbehave.

The Film itself looks amazing and the cinema with all the effects is an experiance i am really looking forward to seeing again after riding honey i shrunk the audience in Disney land paris.

Now just to work out what building and what part of the park this ride shall be going in.

I do think it will be the theatre where the cats is now and the circus was. Pirate adverture if they used it would fit alot more than 152 seats. They would start working on it on the 3rd November and cause the building inside and already built the winter weather wont stop them getting it ready for the start of the 2009 season. I just hope they maintain it to the max as it wont feel the same half way thought the season if half the effects aint working on it.

Confirmed Facts - Exclusive to www.draytonmanorplus.co.uk

152 4D Effects Seats

There will be 4 places for wheelchair access. How this will work is that the wheelchair will be positioned in front of an 'effects rail' so that they will get the 4D effects of wind, water spray, in addition to the in theatre 4D effects of low smoke, bubbles and aroma and of course the 3D effect from the film.

Confirmed Effects: 3D film, Wind, Water spray, Low Smoke, Bubbles & Aroma

Position: The current Theatre replacing the show Cats

Dimension of screen: coming soon

Show: Curse of Skull Rock - Showing 3 Times an Hour - 12 Minute show time to allow loading and unloading.

There will be a pre-show area before the visitors enter the main theatre.

The whole 4D Effects Theatre is being manufactured, supplied and installed by Simworx (ie Turnkey)

The Projector: 3D High Definition Projection system will come from Christie Digital Projectors

The Screen: Harkness Hall who supply 3D screens for all of the IMAX cinemas

4D cinema isn't replacing Pirate Adventure! The cinema will be in the theatre where the cats are currently in, I hope it's as good as it looks cause it will make a nice change for an ENGLISH company to be able to compete in an area where attractions have to normally be purchased from abroad! Well done to drayton for Keeping it British!
